Fuel Delivery

The EPS River Crossing is designed to accomodate enough fuel delivery hose to cross a river of up to 240 metres in width.
The trailer is self contained and is equipped with a hydraulically powered hose reel, capstan, compressor, and wire hose reel to allow the operation to be carried out in remote areas.
The system uses a pyrotechnic line thrower to send the heaving line across the river. The line is returned by a similar method which is then attached to the wire rope.
The wire rope is pulled across the river and returned to the trailer, the hose is then attached to the wire rope, which is then pulled back to the trailer, pulling the hose over the river.
Once the fuel delivery has been completed, the hose is purged using the compressor, and the hose is rewound using the hydraulic motor.
